Building of Central and Eastern European judicial capacities for the enforcement of EU State aid law
EEUStAID was a training programme in EU State aid law for Central and Eastern European judges and judicial personnel, which was organised by the Institute for Legal Studies of the Eötvös Lóránd Research Institutes (Eötvös Lóránd Kutatási Hálózat), Centre for Social Sciences in partnership with Lexcellence European Community Law and Regulatory Consulting Ltd.
The training programme was financed by the European Commission, DG Competition though its Training of National Judges programme (Call for Proposals HT.5115).
The general aim of the training programme was to improve the application and the enforcement of EU State aid rules in national courts in Central and Eastern Europe.
The material made available on this website were prepared for the two training events organised in Budapest in 2019.
The training events covered:
substantive and procedural EU State aid law, and its application before national courts;
the law on the general and specific obligations of national courts under EU State aid law;
specific issues relating to procedures and remedies before national courts;
the recovery of unlawful State aid.
